Customers may browse city information on display at the Customer Service Center, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., while enjoying some complimentary refreshments. The Customer Service Center is located at 102 N. Lee Street.

Economic Development Lunch & Learn | Woman's Building - 1409 N Patterson St

City Employee Appreciation Luncheon
City officials will serve lunch, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., to city employees at John W. Saunders Memorial Park to show their appreciation for the work city employees do year-round.

Give the gift of life at the American Red Cross City Blood Drive, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at John W. Saunders Memorial Park
City Council Meeting/Announcement of Mayor's Youth Art Contest Winners
Mayor Scott Matheson will announce the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the Mayor's Youth Art Contest at the City Council meeting, among other city business. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m., at Valdosta City Hall, located at 216 E. Central Avenue.

Job Shadow Day
Students from Valdosta High School Advancements via Individual Determination (AVID) program will job shadow city department heads and give presentations to the Mayor, City Council members, and staff at a luncheon. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Great American Clean Up | 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
The Great American Cleanup, a grassroots beautification, litter prevention, and community improvement program, is the signature event of Keep America Beautiful. Citizens wanting to volunteer can call Keep Lowndes/Valdosta Beautiful at (229) 671-3698 or email at astrickland@. Strickland says, “Remember, litter will not pick itself up. Please come out and help our communities in need.”
FREE Scrap Tire Recycling Event | 9 AM - 1 PM
In an effort to keep our community clean, citizens are encouraged to bring in residential scrap tires for FREE disposal. Tires must be of regular car/truck size and off rim. No commercial, over-sized or tractor/equipment tires will be accepted.
